Paint Stripping Service for Properties in City of Sammamish, Washington

Paint stripping focuses on the layer that must come off before the next job can begin. We work on painted surfaces tied to interior painting, exterior painting, cabinet painting, refacing, and related carpentry.

The buyer's main decision is whether the existing coating needs removal or only careful preparation. We check the surface, its condition, nearby fixtures, and the work area before we recommend the right scope.

This page serves owners and businesses that need a clear plan for old paint removal. It doesn't replace repair work when the underlying surface has damage, moisture problems, or failed materials that need separate attention.

  • Identify which painted surfaces need removal and which surfaces can stay protected.
  • Check the substrate after coating removal so repairs are included in the project scope.
  • Plan dust barriers, floor coverings, waste containment, and airflow before work begins.
  • Confirm how the prepared surface will connect to painting, refacing, or carpentry work.

Service Overview

Paint stripping service is a surface preparation service that removes old, loose, or unwanted coatings before further work.

  • Paint stripping differs from repainting because it focuses on removing failed material and exposing the surface for review.
  • Thomas J. Painting provides this work for residential and commercial properties in City of Sammamish.

What Customers Gain From Careful Paint Removal

Removing loose layers gives the next coating a sound surface to bond.

A defined stripping scope helps separate paint removal from repairs that need separate work.

Protected floors and fixtures reduce the chance that removed coating spreads beyond the work area.

Surface checks after removal help reveal damage before the next finish is applied.

A clear project agreement gives homeowners and businesses a shared view of the work.

The scope this service is meant to handle

A typical property decision involves an owner who wants to repaint a room but sees several old layers lifting near trim and fixtures. We inspect the affected surface, plan containment around the room, and separate coating removal from any carpentry or substrate repair that the inspection finds.

How We Approach Paint Stripping Decisions

Surface condition sets the scope

The coating and the material beneath it decide how much removal is needed. We explain what we find and include related repairs when they belong in the agreed work.

Protection starts before removal

We plan dust barriers, floor coverings, waste containment, and airflow before stripping begins. That preparation matters when furniture, fixtures, or nearby rooms remain in place.

The next finish guides preparation

A surface prepared for cabinet refacing may need a different finish check than one prepared for wall painting. We match the inspection to the next stage.

When stripping is the wrong job

Paint stripping isn't the right scope when the main issue is structural damage, active moisture, or a repair that must happen before coating removal. We identify that limit during the assessment.

These guys did an awesome job! They have a well trained team that works closely together to get the job done on time and on budget. They also did a number of other repairs on the interior and exterior ( removed dry rot, repair drywall, etc.) before they could even start the painting. I would highly recommend them!

365 Painting Solutions did an excellent job on painting the entire interior of our house. The whole crew is so helpful and the process was so easy. We can't say enough about how thrilled we are with the end result. Jeff and Lorena did a great job helping us pick the perfect color! Efrain and the crew were a pleasure to have in the house and the careful workmanship was amazing.

We had been putting off painting our house because there is never a great time to do so. After we decided to do it, we got 6 bids, some where very low, with low grade products, other very high with outrageous considerations, Jeff and his team came dead in the middle with amazing notes from the first visit, careful workmanship and with top of the line quality product. Scheduling was a breeze with Lorena make it so easy for us even with a busy schedule during the summer. The best experience we've had, we basically did not notice the team was working. They arrived every day super early, left the area pristine, and delivered a great quality outcome in the entire exterior job. We are super happy with the pain, the look and all the recommendation and fixes the team did. We will definitely work with 365Painting Solutions for all of our future painting needs. Thank you for making this experience simple and painless.

Questions Customers Ask About Paint Stripping

How are surfaces protected during paint stripping?

Ventilation systems, dust barriers, and floor coverings help protect nearby surfaces during paint stripping. We isolate the work area, cover floors, protect fixtures, and contain removed coating before work begins. Respirators support personal protection for the crew, while waste containment keeps debris within the planned area. Thomas J. Painting reviews the protection plan during the assessment.

What part of a property decides the stripping scope?

The painted surface and the material beneath it decide the stripping scope. Walls, trim, cabinets, doors, and exterior surfaces each present different access and protection needs. We inspect the coating edges, nearby fixtures, and substrate before setting the work agreement. The next finish also affects how much preparation the surface needs.

Which surface conditions change how paint removal is done?

Loose layers, firm coatings, exposed substrate, and damaged areas change how paint removal is carried out. We check whether the coating separates cleanly and whether repairs sit below it. Our team then explains which areas need stripping, which need repair, and which can receive normal preparation.

When should I request an assessment before repainting?

An assessment makes sense when old paint peels, cracks, chips, or hides an uneven surface. Paint stripping may be part of the answer, but the exposed material still needs review. We inspect the affected area and discuss the next finish, so the project agreement covers removal and any related repair work.

Why does paint stripping cost more on some surfaces?

Surface area, coating layers, access, protection, waste control, and repairs drive the cost of paint stripping. Cabinets and detailed trim may require more careful handling than an open wall. We review those job factors during the free consultation and prepare a quote for the specific surfaces and work area.
