What Stucco Painting Covers

Stucco Painting is an exterior coating service that prepares stucco and applies paint for a renewed finish.

  • Stucco Painting differs from standard siding painting because the coating plan must account for the stucco texture, cracks, patches, and surface condition.
  • Bellevue properties receive the same careful scope review as other covered properties because the work depends on the surface, repairs, and agreed finish.

About

What stucco painting changes on your property

Stucco painting includes more than applying color to a textured wall. The work starts with a review of the existing coating, cracks, patches, texture, and areas that need repair. Our crew prepares the surface before applying the selected coating. We protect furnishings, fixtures, landscaping, and nearby areas as the project requires. The agreed scope can include exterior preparation, repair coordination, color consultation, painting, cleanup, and a final walkthrough. The surface condition affects the work plan. Loose paint, damaged stucco, patch marks, and uneven absorption can change the preparation needed. We discuss those findings during the consultation so the written scope matches the property.

We had been putting off painting our house because there is never a great time to do so. After we decided to do it, we got 6 bids, some where very low, with low grade products, other very high with outrageous considerations, Jeff and his team came dead in the middle with amazing notes from the first visit, careful workmanship and with top of the line quality product. Scheduling was a breeze with Lorena make it so easy for us even with a busy schedule during the summer. The best experience we've had, we basically did not notice the team was working. They arrived every day super early, left the area pristine, and delivered a great quality outcome in the entire exterior job. We are super happy with the pain, the look and all the recommendation and fixes the team did. We will definitely work with 365Painting Solutions for all of our future painting needs. Thank you for making this experience simple and painless.

These guys did an awesome job! They have a well trained team that works closely together to get the job done on time and on budget. They also did a number of other repairs on the interior and exterior ( removed dry rot, repair drywall, etc.) before they could even start the painting. I would highly recommend them!

Questions about painting stucco surfaces

Is painting over stucco a good idea?

Painting over stucco is suitable when the surface can accept a new coating after proper preparation. Cracks, loose paint, patches, and weak areas need review first. We inspect the existing finish and coordinate repairs before painting. The final color and coverage also depend on the texture and condition of the stucco. Our written scope explains the preparation included.

What are the downsides of painting stucco?

Painted stucco can show cracks, patches, and uneven absorption if the surface receives too little preparation. Coating can also make later surface changes more involved because the new layer becomes part of the finish. We review the existing coating, identify repair areas, and discuss those tradeoffs during the consultation. That gives you a clearer choice before work begins.

What changes the cost of painting stucco?

Surface repairs, loose coating, texture, access, protection needs, color changes, and the total painted area affect the project cost. We review those details during a free consultation and in-home meeting. The written project scope includes a pricing explanation before work begins. That process keeps the estimate tied to the actual stucco condition instead of a broad surface guess.

What does the first stucco painting consultation include?

The first consultation includes an in-home meeting to discuss your goals, the stucco condition, repairs, colors, access, and project scope. We also discuss how surrounding areas will be protected during the work. Thomas J. Painting then prepares clear written project details and a pricing explanation before the project begins. You can use that scope to compare the planned work with your priorities.

How should I prepare my home before the crew paints stucco?

Home preparation starts with clearing movable items near the work areas and identifying access concerns. Please mark peeling paint, cracks, patches, and any surfaces you want reviewed. We protect surrounding areas as part of the project, but your notes help us build a complete scope. During the consultation, we can also discuss color choices and site expectations.

Can stucco painting include repairs and color planning?

Stucco painting can include repair coordination and a color consultation when those items are part of the agreed scope. Cracks, patches, and loose coating need attention before the finish coat. We discuss the repair path and color plan during the in-home meeting. Our team then prepares the surface and paints according to the written project details.

Scenarios

When Customers Call Us About Stucco Painting

1

Peeling Paint After a Prior Coat

Peeling paint on stucco can come from weak adhesion, surface damage, or moisture near the coating. The new finish needs a sound base, so covering loose areas without review can lead to more failure. We inspect the affected sections, discuss repair needs, and include the required preparation in the written scope before painting begins.

2

Color Change Across Textured Walls

A color change can look uneven when patches and textured areas absorb coating at different rates. The surface needs a careful review before you choose the final color. We discuss the existing finish, coordinate the color consultation, and explain how preparation and coverage affect the planned result for your home or business.

3

Commercial Stucco With Active Work Areas

Commercial stucco painting needs a plan for furnishings, fixtures, entrances, and areas that remain in use. Access and protection should be discussed before the crew starts. We review the property with you, define the work boundaries, and set site expectations in the project agreement so preparation and cleanup fit the space.
