Brick Painting for Bothell Masonry Exteriors

Brick painting suits owners who want a new exterior color without replacing sound masonry. The work may include brick walls, porch masonry, chimney surfaces, or other painted exterior sections.

The key decision is coating fit. Masonry paint, mineral paint, breathable finish systems, and elastomeric coating each behave differently on brick. We review the surface and existing finish, then explain which approach fits the property.

This page focuses on exterior brick, not general siding or interior wall painting. If the brick has damaged mortar or loose sections, repairs must shape the work plan before painting begins.

  • Check brick, mortar, and existing coatings before selecting paint.
  • Confirm which masonry sections belong in the project scope.
  • Discuss repairs before the coating work begins.
  • Protect windows, doors, trim, paving, and nearby surfaces.
  • Review the finish and project agreement before work starts.

Service Overview

Brick painting is a masonry coating service that changes the color and finish of exterior brick.

  • It differs from brick repair because painting covers sound masonry, while repair addresses damaged brick or mortar first.
  • We provide brick painting for residential and commercial properties in Bothell.

What A New Masonry Finish Changes

A new coating gives sound brick a more even color and finish.

The selected paint system can match the wall's condition and appearance goals.

Surface repairs are addressed before they become hidden under a new coat.

Protected work areas help keep nearby trim, glass, and paving clean.

A final inspection gives you a clear point to review the completed work.

Process

How We Paint Exterior Brick

1

Review The Brick And Mortar

We inspect the brick, mortar joints, existing finish, and areas that need repair.

2

Set The Coating Scope

We discuss the desired color and finish, then identify the masonry sections included in the project.

3

Coordinate Needed Repairs

We plan necessary repairs before coating so damaged surfaces are not covered without review.

4

Prepare And Protect The Area

We prepare the masonry and protect windows, doors, trim, paving, and nearby surfaces.

5

Apply The Selected Finish

Our crew applies the agreed masonry coating according to the project scope and PDCA standards.

6

Inspect The Completed Work

We review the finished surface with the lead paint crew member and address scope questions.

What To Confirm Before Painting Exterior Brick

Coating fit before color choice

The coating needs to suit the brick and existing finish before color becomes the focus. We explain the available approach after checking the surface. Brick painting is the wrong job when the masonry needs major rebuilding or repair first.

Clear project agreements

Our free consultation and in-home meeting cover the work area, repairs, protection needs, and customer goals. We then set a clear project agreement before the crew begins.

These guys did an awesome job! They have a well trained team that works closely together to get the job done on time and on budget. They also did a number of other repairs on the interior and exterior ( removed dry rot, repair drywall, etc.) before they could even start the painting. I would highly recommend them!

We had been putting off painting our house because there is never a great time to do so. After we decided to do it, we got 6 bids, some where very low, with low grade products, other very high with outrageous considerations, Jeff and his team came dead in the middle with amazing notes from the first visit, careful workmanship and with top of the line quality product. Scheduling was a breeze with Lorena make it so easy for us even with a busy schedule during the summer. The best experience we've had, we basically did not notice the team was working. They arrived every day super early, left the area pristine, and delivered a great quality outcome in the entire exterior job. We are super happy with the pain, the look and all the recommendation and fixes the team did. We will definitely work with 365Painting Solutions for all of our future painting needs. Thank you for making this experience simple and painless.

The team at 365 did a great job painting our house. They painted the full exterior of our house, including all the trim, front door, and garage doors. Their color matching was spot on, and the front door and porch trim finish is perfectly smooth. They even did a nice job with caulking as well.

Questions About Painting Exterior Brick

What type of paint works on exterior brick?

Acrylic coating works on exterior brick when the masonry and existing finish suit that system. Thomas J. Painting also reviews masonry paint, mineral paint, breathable finish options, and elastomeric coating for the wall condition. The consultation covers the surface, desired color, repairs, and finish before the coating plan is set.

How does the existing brick finish change the work plan?

The existing finish affects surface preparation, coating choice, and the repair scope. We check whether old paint is sound, loose, uneven, or incompatible with the planned finish. That review helps us set a suitable method and prevents the estimate from treating every brick wall as the same job.

Which details should I confirm before agreeing to exterior brick painting?

The project agreement should identify the masonry areas, repair needs, finish, protection work, and final inspection. We review those points during the free consultation and in-home meeting. Clear scope helps property owners understand what the estimate covers and which adjacent surfaces are outside the painting work.

When is brick painting the wrong service for a wall?

Brick painting is the wrong service when the wall needs major masonry rebuilding before a coating can be considered. We look for damaged brick, failing mortar, and unstable sections during the assessment. Our team explains the repair need and adjusts the project scope before painting begins.

Why do some exterior brick walls need a breathable finish?

A breathable finish may suit masonry that needs more vapor movement through the coating. We review the brick, mortar, and existing paint before recommending that approach. The finish choice also depends on the appearance the owner wants and whether repairs must happen before the wall is painted.

How do you protect windows and paving during the work?

Protection covers nearby windows, doors, trim, paving, and other surfaces before coating starts. We identify those areas during the in-home assessment and include the needed preparation in the project scope. Clean, protected work areas help keep the masonry job focused on the agreed exterior surfaces.
