What customers get from our interior painting process

A surface-first work plan

Customers get an assessment that looks at surface condition before paint selection and application. Interior painting is the wrong service when the main need is a larger structural repair that must be addressed first.

A clear project agreement

The in-home meeting covers goals, rooms, surfaces, preparation, repairs, and the agreed scope. Customers can review those details before the work moves ahead.

Work checked at completion

Our lead paint crew member joins the final inspection after cleanup. Customers can review the finished areas and discuss any scope questions at that point.

The scope this service is meant to handle

A typical buyer may be preparing a Columbia City home or business for a change in use, new occupants, or a planned refresh. We check the wall surface, note repairs, and set the painting scope before work begins.

These guys did an awesome job! They have a well trained team that works closely together to get the job done on time and on budget. They also did a number of other repairs on the interior and exterior ( removed dry rot, repair drywall, etc.) before they could even start the painting. I would highly recommend them!

The team at 365 did a great job painting our house. They painted the full exterior of our house, including all the trim, front door, and garage doors. Their color matching was spot on, and the front door and porch trim finish is perfectly smooth. They even did a nice job with caulking as well.

Questions about preparing and painting indoor spaces

When reviewing site readiness, how should walls be prepared before interior painting prior to on-site work?

Wall cleaning should come before repairs, primer, and finish paint. We check for dust, marks, cracks, loose areas, and gaps that need caulk. Sanding and spot priming follow where the surface calls for them. Customers can discuss furniture, fixtures, room access, and protection during the free consultation.

What should I confirm before agreeing to indoor painting?

The project agreement should identify rooms, surfaces, preparation, repairs, protection, cleanup, and inspection. Customers should also confirm whether trim, doors, cabinets, or carpentry work belongs in the scope. Our in-home meeting gives customers a place to discuss those details before the estimate and work plan are set.

Which conditions can change the painting work plan?

Surface condition, repair needs, furniture placement, fixtures, access, and the number of included surfaces can change the work plan. We review those conditions during the property assessment. Customers receive a scope based on the actual rooms and surfaces, not a broad description that leaves preparation unclear.

When should customers request an interior painting estimate?

Customers should request an estimate before choosing a final work scope or moving furniture for painting. The consultation covers goals, rooms, repairs, protection, and related services. Thomas J. Painting offers free consultations and in-home meetings for homeowners and businesses planning indoor painting.

Why does surface preparation matter before paint goes on?

Surface preparation gives paint a cleaner base and identifies repairs before finish coats are applied. We address suitable cleaning, sanding, cracks, primer, and caulk lines within the agreed scope. Customers who skip this review may set a paint plan that does not match the condition of the walls.
